Experience Narrative:

I went to a busy shopping centre on a Saturday afternoon. I visited shops with lots of people in and I bought some things myself. I went with my family. I’m worried about the crowds and others being unwell/puking near me and not been able to escape.

Belief to be tested:

I’ll be overwhelmed and trapped with the fear that someone may puke on me.

Alternative Perspective:

I’ll be alright and the crowds won’t overwhelm me and if someone is sick I will be able to move away.

Safety Behaviours to drop:

Crying, trying to distract myself, being disengaged, walking faster

Client reflections:

That the crowds were not the worst and no one puked.

Practitioner reflections:

Client learned that they could do it and they were okay, they said it would be even better if they had the confidence to do this with their friends.
