Experience Narrative:

During a team meeting at work, you're asked to share your opinion on a project. You feel anxious and worry that others will think you're incompetent.

Belief to be tested:

“If I say something wrong, everyone will think I’m stupid and I’ll lose credibility.”

Alternative Perspective:

“Everyone makes imperfect contributions sometimes—what matters is participation and collaboration.”

Safety Behaviours to drop:

Over-preparing or memorizing talking points. Speaking very quietly to avoid drawing attention. Waiting for others to speak first to “test the waters.”
