You need to return an item at a busy store. You worry about making a fuss or being seen as difficult.

Belief to be tested:

“If I return this, the staff will think I’m annoying or a problem customer.”

Alternative Perspective:

“People return items all the time—it’s a normal part of retail and staff are trained to handle it.”

Safety Behaviours to drop:

Over-explaining or apologizing excessively. Avoiding eye contact with the staff. Waiting for the store to be empty before approaching the counter. Talking really quietly
